The AI Operating Layer That Sits on Top of Your ERP

Ask questions in plain English, catch duplicate vendors, forecast cash flow, chase debtors on WhatsApp, and get plain-language explanations of failed GST filings — on TallyPrime, Zoho, ERPNext, or any custom ERP. Books stay where they are.

AI Copilot for ERPs is Perimattic's AI operating layer that sits on top of TallyPrime, Zoho, ERPNext, SAP, Busy, Marg, and custom or homegrown ERPs. It lets Indian businesses query their ERP in plain English (English, Hindi, or Hinglish), detects duplicate vendors and unusual expenses, forecasts 30/60/90-day cash flow across receivables and payables, explains failed GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings in plain language, and drives autonomous ops actions like WhatsApp debtor chasing — all while keeping the books on-prem or in the customer's existing region (IN, US, EU, or AU). The copilot connects through the same Perimattic bridge and Zoho Marketplace OAuth used by ERPPlugs connectors, so no new agent needs to be installed on the ERP. Currently in early access.

Capability Clusters

Six capability clusters that turn your ERP into an AI operating layer

Each capability is grounded in your own data, cites the source vouchers or DocTypes it drew from, and never trains on other customers' books.

Natural-language ERP query

Ask "show me overdue invoices in Q3 above ₹1 lakh, grouped by state" — the copilot resolves the question against your ledgers and returns a grounded answer with drill-down links to the source vouchers. English, Hindi, and Hinglish supported.

Deep-dive

Duplicate vendor and anomaly detection

Continuous scans surface duplicate vendor entries (fuzzy match on PAN and GSTIN), unusual expense classifications against your own historical baseline, and cash-out-of-envelope events — before month-end audits catch them.

Deep-dive

Cross-cycle cash-flow forecasting

A 30/60/90-day cash position combining current bank, aged receivables weighted by historical collection probability per debtor, and near-term payables including subscription renewals and open POs.

Deep-dive

Automated reconciliation

Bank statements against Sales Invoices, Zoho Inventory POs against Books bills, marketplace settlement reports against your ERP — with UTR and reference-number matching that survives partial payments and split settlements.

Deep-dive

Plain-language GST reasoning

When GSTR-1 or GSTR-3B submissions fail, the copilot reads the portal's JSON error response, correlates it against the offending vouchers in your ledger, and explains the fix in plain English — including Hindi for teams that prefer it.

Deep-dive

Autonomous ops agents

Debtor-chase over WhatsApp on your aging schedule, HD Ticket triage in ERPNext, deal-stage coaching in Zoho CRM — every autonomous action is off by default and gated per-user and per-DocType before you turn it on.

Deep-dive
In Practice

What people actually ask the copilot

Real questions from pilot customers, translated across roles.

Founder or CFO

"Compare this quarter's revenue to last quarter by product line."

A grounded comparison table with the source Sales Invoices linked, ready to drop into a board deck — without opening a single Excel pivot.

Finance controller

"Which vendors did I pay more than once this month?"

A duplicate-vendor report with fuzzy match on PAN and GSTIN, flagging near-identical vendor masters that a manual scan misses. Each row links to the source vouchers.

Accountant

"Why did my GSTR-1 filing fail?"

Plain-language explanation of every rejection row — for example, "Invoice #INV/2026/1234 rejected because buyer GSTIN 07AABCT1332M1Z9 is cancelled since 12 June 2026." Along with the fix.

Sales lead

"Which of my deals are stuck in Proposal for longer than usual?"

A ranked list against your own historical won-deal patterns, per rep and per segment — with a proposed next best action grounded in what actually worked before.

Ops manager

"Chase all invoices over 45 days on WhatsApp."

The autonomous debtor-chase agent sends the right template in the right language (Hindi, English, or Hinglish) to each party and logs replies back into the ERP.

Founder

"What will my cash position look like in 30 days?"

A 30-day cash forecast combining current bank, aged AR weighted by historical collection probability, and near-term payables — with confidence intervals so you can make a real decision, not a guess.

Design Principles

The principles the copilot ships with

How we keep AI on top of your ERP safe, grounded, and auditable.

Books stay where they are

On-prem for TallyPrime, in the customer's Zoho data centre for Zoho, on Frappe Cloud or self-hosted for ERPNext, and in your own storage for Custom ERPs. Ledger content does not leave the ERP's data boundary.

Grounded answers with citations

Every answer names the vouchers, invoices, or DocTypes it was derived from. The copilot refuses to answer questions it cannot ground in your data instead of making up numbers.

Trained on your data only

Anomaly baselines, deal-coaching patterns, and forecast weights learn from your own historical data — not from other customers. Nothing about your books flows to a shared training set.

Auditable by design

Every query, every autonomous action, and every schema-drift alert is logged with the user identity, timestamp, and returned or affected records — written to your choice of storage.

Autonomous actions are off by default

Every autonomous action (a WhatsApp debtor-chase, an HD Ticket auto-response, a Sales Invoice draft) is disabled until you explicitly enable it per user, per DocType, and per confidence threshold.

Region-aware processing

Indian customers stay in the India region end-to-end — Zoho IN data centre, ap-south-1 processing, India-region LLM endpoints — for DPDP Act 2023 alignment. A DPA is signed before ingestion.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on scope, data handling, and the shape of early access.

What ERPs does AI Copilot support today?+

In early access we have production pilots on TallyPrime, Zoho (Books + Inventory + CRM), ERPNext (Frappe Cloud and self-hosted v14 / v15), and Custom or homegrown ERPs through REST, CSV / Google Sheets, or Zapier / n8n / Make. SAP Business One, Busy, Marg, and Odoo customers can join the waitlist — the ingestion mechanics are already proven on our existing ERPPlugs connectors for those ERPs, and the copilot follows once we open a slot.

How is this different from an AI feature bolted onto a single ERP?+

Native AI features live inside one ERP and see only that ERP's data. AI Copilot is an operating layer above the ERP. On Zoho it collapses Books + Inventory + CRM into one query. On Custom ERPs it turns a system with no AI at all into one that can be queried in plain English. Everywhere it grounds every answer with citations and supports autonomous ops actions with per-role gates — which most native features do not.

Do you send our ERP data to a public LLM provider?+

No. Query metadata (the question text, the fields the copilot resolved against, aggregated statistics) is sent to inference; ledger content and voucher body text stay inside the ERP's data boundary. Inference runs on India-region LLM endpoints for Indian customers by default. Enterprise customers can additionally require a dedicated inference tenant or an on-prem inference deployment — we support both.

How is AI Copilot for ERPs different from the Perimattic AI Suite?+

AI Copilot is a productised subscription — the same off-the-shelf query, anomaly, and forecasting capabilities used by every customer, delivered through your ERP's native connectivity. The Perimattic AI Suite is a bespoke consulting engagement — we design and deploy custom ML modules, RAG systems, or agent workflows specific to your business. If you want a general operating-layer capability, start with the Copilot. If you want a specific custom ML build, engage the AI Suite.

What does early access mean in practice?+

It means we choose pilot customers hand-in-hand, calibrate the copilot against your specific books during the first 2–4 weeks, and lock in accuracy before enabling autonomous actions. You do not pay setup fees. You commit two hours a week during the first month for structured feedback. In return you help shape the product roadmap and lock in early-adopter terms.

How do I know the copilot's answers are correct?+

Every answer names the vouchers, DocTypes, or exports it was derived from — you can click through to verify. During the calibration window your finance or ops lead reviews every answer before the copilot goes live for the wider team. Autonomous actions run in shadow mode (flagged but not sent) until you sign off. This is unlike a generic chatbot, which has no citations and cannot be verified without duplicating the work.

What does AI Copilot cost?+

During early access, pricing is set case-by-case with pilot customers based on ERP scope, data volume, and use-case complexity. There is no self-serve price at the moment — deliberately, because getting the copilot right against your ERP matters more than moving fast on billing. Contact us and we will scope the pilot before quoting.

Is AI Copilot DPDP-compliant?+

For Indian customers, yes. All processing runs in the India region — Zoho IN data centre where applicable, ap-south-1 for the runtime, India-region LLM endpoints for inference. A DPDP Act 2023 aligned Data Processing Agreement covering Perimattic as a Data Processor is signed before any ingestion begins, and is provided by default for Enterprise-tier customers.
