Tripletex Integrations & Connectors

Norway's leading cloud accounting + ERP platform. Connect Tripletex with Zoho Books.
Overview

About Tripletex

Tripletex is Norway's dominant cloud accounting and ERP platform for SMBs and mid-market, owned by Visma. ERPPlugs adds pre-built connectors on top of the Tripletex REST API for Norwegian businesses running dual-stack accounting or migrating between Tripletex and Zoho Books.

Tripletex is a cloud-native accounting and ERP platform built for the Norwegian market, now part of the Visma Group—Scandinavia's largest enterprise-software conglomerate. It serves over 50,000 Norwegian businesses, from freelance consultants to mid-sized enterprises, and has steadily expanded its footprint across the Nordics. Tripletex covers general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, project accounting, time tracking, payroll (with Norwegian tax-table compliance), and invoicing, all accessible through a browser.

What sets Tripletex apart is its deep integration with Norwegian regulatory infrastructure. It connects natively to Altinn (the government reporting portal), supports SAF-T (Standard Audit File – Tax) exports mandated by Skatteetaten, handles MVA (Norwegian VAT) reporting, and supports EHF electronic invoicing. For businesses operating in Norway, Tripletex is often the path of least resistance to full regulatory compliance.

Why It Matters

Why Integrate Tripletex?

Norwegian businesses selling internationally—or managing supply chains that span Nordic and global markets—often run into a dual-stack problem. Tripletex handles Norwegian compliance beautifully, but ecommerce orders from Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon Europe arrive in formats Tripletex doesn't natively ingest. Staff end up re-keying orders, manually converting currencies, and reconciling Stripe or Klarna settlements against bank statements in Tripletex.

The pain intensifies during MVA reporting periods. If ecommerce revenue and its associated VAT aren't posted to the correct Tripletex accounts in real time, the quarterly MVA return requires last-minute scrambling. For businesses selling across EU borders, the additional complexity of OSS (One Stop Shop) VAT rules makes manual posting untenable. An automated integration that maps each transaction to the right revenue account, VAT code, and currency eliminates this quarterly fire drill.

How It Works

How ERPPlugs Works with Tripletex

ERPPlugs connects to Tripletex through its official REST API—no desktop agents or plugins required. Authorise ERPPlugs from your Tripletex admin panel, and the connector gains scoped access to customers, products, orders, invoices, and ledger accounts. Data flows over HTTPS with OAuth 2.0 authentication.

The mapping wizard walks you through linking your ecommerce products to Tripletex revenue accounts and VAT codes. Once configured, orders sync as draft invoices (or finalised invoices, depending on your preference), payments reconcile against the correct bank account, and inventory updates flow back to your sales channels. Norwegian-specific fields like organisasjonsnummer and EHF references are preserved throughout the sync.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does ERPPlugs support Norwegian VAT (MVA) codes in Tripletex?+

Yes. During setup, you map each product or product category to the appropriate Tripletex MVA code (e.g., code 3 for 25% standard rate, code 31 for food at 15%). ERPPlugs applies the correct code to every synced transaction automatically.

Can I sync orders from Amazon Europe into Tripletex through ERPPlugs?+

Absolutely. ERPPlugs supports Amazon Seller Central for all European marketplaces. Orders, refunds, and settlement reports are parsed and posted to Tripletex with the correct VAT treatment, including OSS rules for cross-border B2C sales.

How does currency conversion work for international orders?+

ERPPlugs captures the transaction currency and amount from the source platform. When posting to Tripletex, it uses the Norges Bank exchange rate for the transaction date (or Tripletex's configured rate source) to create the NOK equivalent, ensuring accurate multi-currency accounting.

Is the integration compatible with Tripletex's project accounting module?+

Yes. You can map specific sales channels or product lines to Tripletex projects, so revenue and costs from each channel are tracked separately within your project profitability reports.

What level of Tripletex subscription do I need?+

ERPPlugs works with all Tripletex subscription tiers that include API access. Most Standard and Plus plans include this. We recommend checking your Tripletex plan details or contacting Tripletex support to confirm API availability.
