Does ManageStacks handle annual Odoo version upgrades?
Yes — and this is where ManageStacks earns its keep. Odoo ships a new major version yearly (v17 → v18 → v19), each with database migrations and often module-API changes. We test each release, run migrations on a clone of your database, and flag any custom-module breakage before rolling forward. Odoo Community only maintains each version for ~3 years, so staying current matters.
Is multi-company + inter-company handled?
Yes. Odoo Community supports multi-company operations (chart of accounts, inventory, sales orders per company) with inter-company transactions. Consolidated reporting requires Enterprise. All multi-company data isolation is preserved through backups and restores.
How does the filestore backup work?
Odoo stores uploaded documents (invoices, product images, attachments) in a filestore on disk, not the database. ManageStacks backs up the filestore alongside the Postgres database daily, both encrypted and stored in a separate region. Restore replays both together for a consistent point-in-time snapshot.
What happens if I move to Odoo.sh or on-premises later?
