Perimattic

Perimattic Managed DevOps is a 24/7 engineering partnership model for SaaS teams and growing enterprises that need production-grade DevOps and SRE without hiring a full in-house team. We embed with your engineering org, own your AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure, run monitoring and on-call rotations, migrate legacy stacks to microservices, deliver Terraform and CI/CD, and hand off runbooks so your team stays in control. Engagements start at fractional (10–20 hours/week) for early-stage SaaS and scale to full embedded pods for Series B and later teams. Delivered from Perimattic offices in Mumbai, San Francisco, and London with follow-the-sun on-call.

Managed DevOps & SRE Partner

Your engineering team’s DevOps, staffed by Perimattic

Fractional DevOps and SRE for SaaS teams. 24/7 production monitoring, cloud migrations, Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD — delivered as an embedded engineering partner with follow-the-sun coverage from Mumbai, San Francisco, and London.

Trusted by SaaS and enterprise teams across the US, UK, and India

What We Do

DevOps as a Service — six areas, one team

Full-stack DevOps and SRE ownership. Each engagement covers the areas that match your priority — you do not have to buy all six.

24/7 Production Monitoring & On-Call

Follow-the-sun on-call rotation across Mumbai, San Francisco, and London time zones. Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and PagerDuty (or your tool of choice) configured, tuned, and monitored by an experienced SRE team so your engineers can sleep at night.

  • Pager rotation with sub-15-minute acknowledge SLA
  • Runbooks written and versioned in your repo
  • Post-incident reviews delivered within 48 hours
  • Uptime and MTTR reported monthly

Cloud Migration and Modernisation

Move from a legacy stack (bare metal, single-server monolith, self-hosted Kubernetes cluster) to a modern managed AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture. We plan the migration, execute it in parallel with your existing production, and cut over without downtime.

  • AWS, Azure, and GCP migrations with commit-plan discounts
  • Legacy monolith to microservices refactor support
  • Zero-downtime cutover strategies
  • Cost optimisation post-migration

Kubernetes and Container Orchestration

Managed EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-hosted Kubernetes — including cluster sizing, node pools, HPA, IRSA, GitOps deployment via ArgoCD or Flux, and service mesh where it earns its complexity.

  • EKS / AKS / GKE managed cluster ops
  • GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux
  • Autoscaling, node pool tuning, spot capacity planning
  • Service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) when justified

Infrastructure as Code

Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible written to your team’s conventions and reviewed by your engineers. Every infrastructure change goes through PR review with drift detection running continuously so surprise state changes are caught within hours, not incidents.

  • Terraform and Pulumi module authoring
  • Continuous drift detection with alerting
  • Reusable module libraries for common patterns
  • PR-based review workflow with your team as approvers

CI/CD and Release Engineering

GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Jenkins pipelines that deliver fast feedback to engineers and safe, auditable releases to production. Zero-downtime deployments, blue-green, canary, and feature-flag patterns supported.

  • Fast test feedback loops (parallelisation, caching, matrix)
  • Zero-downtime, blue-green, canary release patterns
  • Feature flags via LaunchDarkly, Flagsmith, or self-hosted
  • Release audit trail for compliance reporting

Security and Compliance

Baseline hardening (least-privilege IAM, encrypted-everywhere, secrets in Vault or AWS Secrets Manager), plus preparation for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS audits alongside your compliance lead. We do the technical control work; you own the policy narrative.

  • IAM least-privilege refactor and continuous audit
  • Secrets management via Vault or cloud KMS
  • SOC 2 Type II preparation and audit support
  • HIPAA and PCI DSS technical control implementation

How We Onboard

From first call to steady-state partnership

1

Discovery and Fit Call

A 45-minute call with a Perimattic engineering lead. We map your current stack, on-call reality, top three pain points, and near-term priorities. If the fit is wrong for our team we say so — no hard sell.

2

Engagement Proposal

Within 3–5 working days we send a scoped engagement proposal — which model (fractional, embedded, on-call), which engineers, which SLAs, and what the first 30 / 60 / 90 day plan looks like. Pricing is flat monthly, no per-ticket billing.

3

Onboarding Sprint

Weeks 1–2: infrastructure audit, runbook stand-up, monitoring baseline, and on-call rotation setup. Your team’s engineers pair with Perimattic engineers so context transfer is bidirectional, not just inbound to us.

4

Steady-State Partnership

From month 2: standups, sprint participation, sprint reviews, monthly steering calls with your engineering lead. Runbooks and IaC are versioned in your repos so you can bring the work in-house any time — the goal is to build your capability, not to lock you in.

Frequently asked questions

Fractional DevOps vs full-time hire — how do we choose?+
A single senior DevOps hire in a competitive market costs $220K–$300K per year loaded plus a 3–6 month hiring cycle, and you inherit a bus factor of one. Perimattic fractional DevOps and SRE gives you 2–4 senior engineers on rotation from day one, at 40–60% of loaded cost, without hiring pipeline risk. When your traffic doubles you scale the engagement up in weeks, not the following hiring cycle. When your traffic halves you scale it down — try that with a full-time employee. The rule we give buyers: hire full-time when the workload is consistently more than 30 hours a week for over 6 months; use fractional DevOps until then.
Is this fractional DevOps or DevOps as a Service?+
Both — you pick the flavour that fits. Fractional DevOps + SRE (our first tier) is embedded partnership: one senior engineer works inside your Slack and your repos, shares code ownership, and joins standups. DevOps as a Service (our Embedded DevOps Pod tier) is a full delivered outcome: 2–4 engineers own your infrastructure roadmap and deliver against monthly steering goals. The 24/7 On-Call SRE Retainer is a hybrid — you keep in-house ownership; we own the follow-the-sun response. Every engagement is 30-day notice, no exit fees, no lock-in.
Do we own the infrastructure or does Perimattic?+
You own everything. Your AWS, Azure, or GCP accounts stay under your name and billing. All Terraform, Ansible, runbooks, and pipeline code are committed to your repositories. Perimattic engineers work through named IAM users or SSO federation from your identity provider, and access is revocable in one click. If the engagement ends, nothing about your infrastructure changes — your team simply takes over the code and runbooks Perimattic has already handed over. This is a partnership model, not a hosting lock-in.
What time zones do you cover for on-call?+
Follow-the-sun coverage across Mumbai (IST), San Francisco (PST/PDT), and London (GMT/BST). A page fired at 3 AM in your time zone is answered by a Perimattic engineer whose local time is inside business hours — no engineer, ours or yours, is woken up unless the incident is truly severity-1 and requires escalation. Sub-15-minute acknowledge SLA on P1s, sub-60-minute on P2s.
Can you work with our existing DevOps team?+
Yes, and this is our most common engagement shape. We do not replace your existing DevOps team— we extend it. Common patterns: your team owns product-facing platform work while Perimattic handles cloud infrastructure and on-call; or your team runs day-to-day operations while Perimattic leads a specific initiative (K8s migration, SOC 2 preparation, cost optimisation). We shape the engagement so your team’s scope grows, not shrinks. Ex-Perimattic engineers occasionally get hired by our customers directly — we treat that as a good outcome and do not charge conversion fees.
What happens if we outgrow the engagement model or want to bring things in-house?+
Both are expected. Fractional engagements often graduate to embedded pods as revenue grows; embedded pods sometimes shrink to on-call retainers as customers hire senior DevOps in-house. Every engagement handover point is planned — runbooks, IaC, and monitoring configuration have been living in your repositories from day one, so nothing has to be reconstructed. Our contract terms are 30-day notice, no exit fees, no data hostage situations. If we did our job well, you should be able to run without us; the value is in the improved system state, not in the lock-in.
Do you sign NDAs and Data Processing Agreements?+
Yes, both are default. NDA is signed before the first technical discussion. A DPA that names Perimattic as a Data Processor under GDPR, DPDP Act 2023, and CCPA is included with every engagement contract. Sub-processor list is disclosed and updated in advance of any change. For customers under SOC 2 or HIPAA scope, we sign the corresponding customer-supplied paperwork (BAA for HIPAA, sub-service organisation carve-in for SOC 2) and provide our own compliance evidence on request.
