Brandnata + TrustpilotReviews & support

Trustpilot review analytics linked to delivery and refunds

Brandnata connects to Trustpilot through an API key and secret from an application you create under Integrations > Developers > APIs in Trustpilot Business, with OAuth for private review data, in about 5 minutes. The connection is read-only by default, and Trustpilot data is reconciled with every other channel you connect in one dashboard.

Brandnata's Trustpilot integration reads your service reviews, product reviews and TrustScore, and matches invited reviews to the orders they came from. You can see how late deliveries, refunds and support problems pull your rating down, and whether customers who leave low reviews ever buy again.

What you can connect

Everything Trustpilot sends into Brandnata

Once connected, new reviews, replies and TrustScore changes sync throughout the day.

Brandnata

Service reviews

Reviews of the overall buying experience with star rating, text, date, verified status and any reply you posted.

Order references

The reference ID sent with each review invitation, usually your order number, so a review can be tied to its order.

Product reviews

Product reviews by SKU with star rating and attribute ratings such as quality, if you use Trustpilot product reviews.

TrustScore & tags

Your TrustScore and star rating over time, plus the tags you add to reviews, such as delivery or refund.

How Brandnata uses it

How Brandnata uses Trustpilot data

Trustpilot shows how customers rate the whole experience of buying from you. Brandnata matches reviews to orders from your Shopify or other store, to shipments from tools such as ShipStation or Shiprocket and to tickets in Zendesk or Gorgias, so a falling TrustScore can be traced to the delivery, refund or support problem behind it.

A team reviewing reconciled sales and performance data together

Trustpilot data feeds Brandnata's anomaly alerts and AI agent suggestions. The connection itself only reads data and never changes anything in Trustpilot.

Key capabilities

What you can do with Trustpilot in Brandnata

Specific, Trustpilot-native use cases, not a generic list that applies to every connector the same way.

Bad reviews traced to delivery

See how many one and two star reviews follow a late or failed delivery, and which courier or region they came from.

Refunds behind the rating

Check whether low reviews come from orders that were refunded or returned, and what those orders cost in lost margin.

Repeat purchase by rating

Compare how often customers buy again after a five star review versus a one star review, to put a value on a lost customer.

TrustScore moves explained

When your TrustScore drops, see which orders, products and issues the new reviews were about, instead of reading them one by one.

FAQ

Trustpilot integration FAQs

Trustpilot details on this page were last checked against Trustpilot's own documentation on .

How do I connect Trustpilot to Brandnata?

In Trustpilot Business, go to Integrations > Developers > APIs, create an application and copy its API key and secret. Enter both in Brandnata and authorize access to your business unit. If the Developers section isn't there, API access hasn't been enabled on your account, so ask Trustpilot to add it.

Does Trustpilot have an API?

Yes. Public endpoints need only an API key and return published reviews and TrustScores. Private endpoints, which add the order reference and customer email on each review, need an OAuth 2.0 token obtained with the key and secret. Trustpilot access tokens expire after 100 hours.

Is Trustpilot API access included in every plan?

No. API access isn't part of every Trustpilot plan, and on some plans it's sold as an add-on that Trustpilot enables for your account. Check your plan, or ask your Trustpilot account manager, before connecting Brandnata.

How is the Trustpilot TrustScore calculated?

TrustScore is a weighted average of star ratings, not a simple average. Newer reviews count more, only each customer's latest review is used, and seven neutral 3.5 star reviews are added so new profiles start balanced. Invited, verified and unprompted reviews are weighted the same.

What is the difference between Trustpilot service reviews and product reviews?

Service reviews rate the overall experience of buying from your business, such as delivery and customer service, and appear on your company profile. Product reviews rate individual products by SKU and are a separate Trustpilot add-on. Brandnata reads both, matching service reviews to orders and product reviews to SKUs.

Can I link Trustpilot reviews to specific orders?

Yes, for reviews that come from invitations sent with an order reference. Trustpilot's private API returns that reference ID with each review, and Brandnata matches it to the order in your store, along with its delivery, refund and reorder history. Unprompted reviews without a reference are reported separately.

Can Brandnata reply to or report Trustpilot reviews?

No. Brandnata only reads reviews, ratings and your TrustScore. It doesn't reply to, flag or report reviews, send review invitations or change any settings in your Trustpilot Business account.
