Salesforce Shopify Integration - Customers & Orders
The ERPPlugs Shopify-Salesforce connector syncs Shopify customers, orders, products, and refunds with Salesforce. Customers become Contacts or Person Accounts, orders become Order records, and abandoned checkouts can create Leads or Tasks. It uses the Shopify Admin API and webhooks together with Salesforce REST APIs.
Bring Shopify customers, orders, and refunds into Salesforce so sales and service teams see the full purchase history on each record.
What this connector does
Shopify holds the order and customer data, while Salesforce is where B2B reps, account managers, and service agents work. This connector links the two so a Shopify customer becomes a Salesforce Contact or Person Account, orders appear as Order records with line items, and refunds update the related case or record. Webhooks from the Shopify Admin API keep Salesforce current without polling every record.

What changes when you plug ERPPlugs in
See how automation transforms your Shopify-Salesforce workflow.
| Task | Manual Integration | ERPPlugs |
|---|---|---|
| Customer records | Shopify customers are exported as a CSV and imported into Salesforce periodically | Customers sync from Shopify to Contacts or Person Accounts as they are created |
| Order history | Service agents open Shopify in another tab to check what a customer bought | Orders with line items appear on the Salesforce customer record |
| Abandoned carts | Abandoned checkouts are only visible in Shopify, so sales never follows up | Abandoned checkouts can create a Lead or Task for outreach |
| Refund handling | Refunds are processed in Shopify and the account owner learns about it later | Refund events update the Order and can notify the owner |
| B2B draft orders | Reps send order details to the store team to create a draft order manually | Draft orders can be created in Shopify directly from an Opportunity |
Built for teams that need reliable automation
The Shopify <-> Salesforceconnector fits into finance, ops, and revenue teams that have outgrown copy-paste — the ones whose month-end close should not depend on a spreadsheet, whose ledger accuracy should not depend on human vigilance, and whose sales velocity should not stall behind an accountant's inbox.

Frequently Asked Questions
ERPPlugs supports both. If your org sells to individuals and has Person Accounts enabled, customers can be created that way. For B2B stores, ERPPlugs can map a company name to an Account and the buyer to a Contact. You choose the model during setup.
ERPPlugs can create a Shopify draft order from a Salesforce Opportunity at a stage you select. The draft order carries line items, customer, and discount details. A payment link or invoice can then be sent from Shopify according to your store setup.
Guest orders have no customer record, so ERPPlugs matches on email address to an existing Contact or creates a new one. If the email is missing, the order is held for review rather than attached to a wrong record. Matching rules can be adjusted.
Yes. Each Shopify store is connected separately, and records can be tagged with the store they came from. You can map stores to different Salesforce record types, owners, or price books. This is useful for regional or brand-specific storefronts.
ERPPlugs updates the related Order status and refund amount in Salesforce when Shopify sends the refund event. If you map it, a Case or Task can be created for the account owner. The original order record is kept for history.
