How Intellyx Compares

Side-by-side comparisons of Intellyx with the systems Indian manufacturers most often evaluate: traditional MES, SAP MII, SCADA, ERP manufacturing modules and manual inspection. Each one is honest about where the other option is the better choice.

The Factory Stack

Where Intellyx Sits Among Your Systems

Most comparisons get easier once you see which layer each system works at. The ISA-95 model (IEC 62264) splits a factory's systems into levels by what they do and how fast they work. Intellyx reads across these layers instead of replacing any of them.

FAQs

Common Questions

Is Intellyx an MES?

Not in the traditional sense. Intellyx provides the monitoring, analytics and AI functions associated with manufacturing operations, such as live OEE, downtime tracking, Vision QC and predictive maintenance. It does not dispatch work orders, enforce routings or keep electronic batch records, which are the execution functions of a traditional MES.

Does Intellyx replace our ERP or SCADA?

No. Intellyx works alongside both. The ERP keeps planning, inventory and accounts, SCADA and PLCs keep controlling equipment, and Intellyx reads from them to show how production is actually performing.

What is the difference between ERP, MES and SCADA?

They work at different levels of the ISA-95 model. ERP (Level 4) plans the business over days and months. MES (Level 3) manages production over minutes and shifts. SCADA (Level 2) supervises and controls equipment in seconds, with PLCs and sensors below it.

Which comparison should I read first?

Start with the system you are thinking of buying or already have. If you are weighing a large execution project, read Intellyx vs MES. If you run SAP, read Intellyx vs SAP MII. If quality escapes are the main issue, read Vision QC vs manual inspection.
