eBay seller profit after fees and Promoted Listings

Brandnata connects to eBay through eBay's OAuth consent screen, where you sign in to eBay and grant Brandnata read access to your orders and payouts, in about 5 minutes. The connection is read-only by default, and eBay data is reconciled with every other channel you connect in one dashboard.

Brandnata's eBay integration pulls in your eBay orders, returns and listings and lines each order up with the final value fee, per-order fee, Promoted Listings fees and shipping labels charged against it. The result is a true margin for each eBay sale, shown beside Amazon, Walmart and your own store.

Listings & inventory

Active listings, price and quantity by SKU, tied to how fast each item sells.

How Brandnata uses it

Not just synced, reconciled

Brandnata handles eBay orders the same way as orders from your other channels. Fees, Promoted Listings charges, shipping labels and refunds come off each sale using eBay's own finances data, so an eBay margin can be compared directly with Amazon or Shopify rather than with gross sales.

A team reviewing reconciled sales and performance data together

eBay data feeds Brandnata's anomaly alerts and AI agent suggestions. The connection itself only reads data and never changes anything in eBay.

Key capabilities

What this integration unlocks

Specific, eBay-native use cases, not a generic list that applies to every connector the same way.

Net profit per eBay order

See what each order leaves you after the final value fee, per-order fee, ad fees, shipping labels and refunds, without working backwards from a payout that covers dozens of orders.

Promoted Listings that pay for themselves

Ad fees are counted against the orders they were charged on, so you can see which promoted items still make money after the ad rate.

Payouts reconciled to orders

Break each eBay payout down into the sales, refunds and charges it contains, including fees eBay bills to your account separately.

eBay next to your other channels

Compare margin per order across eBay, Amazon, Walmart and your own storefront like for like, after fees and returns.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect eBay to Brandnata?

Choose eBay in Brandnata and you're sent to eBay's own sign-in and consent page. Sign in to your seller account, review the access Brandnata is asking for and agree. You never share your eBay password with Brandnata, and you can remove the app's access from your eBay account settings at any time.

What fees does eBay charge sellers?

Most eBay sales carry a final value fee, a percentage of the total sale amount, including shipping and, in the US, sales tax, that varies by category, plus a fixed per-order fee. Promoted Listings, eBay shipping labels and optional listing upgrades add their own charges. Brandnata reads the fees actually applied to your orders from eBay's finances records, rather than estimating them.

How do I calculate my real profit on eBay?

Start with the total the buyer paid, then subtract the final value fee and per-order fee, any Promoted Listings fee, the shipping label, refunds, and your own product and packaging costs. Brandnata works out the eBay side of that for each order from your eBay finances data, so you aren't relying on a calculator estimate.

Why is my eBay payout less than my sales?

eBay deducts its fees before paying you. A payout typically nets off final value fees, the per-order fee, Promoted Listings ad fees, shipping labels bought through eBay and any refunds. Some fees are billed to your account as separate charges instead of coming out of a sale, which is why payouts and order totals rarely line up. Brandnata ties each deduction to the order it came from.

When does eBay pay sellers?

You choose a payout schedule in Seller Hub, such as daily or weekly. Funds usually become available shortly after the buyer's payment is confirmed, unless eBay places them on hold, which can happen for newer sellers until delivery is confirmed. Brandnata shows which orders have been paid out and which are still pending.

Does Brandnata include Promoted Listings costs in profit?

Yes. Promoted Listings fees are recorded in your eBay finances data and are counted against the order they were charged on, so the margin you see for a promoted item already includes its ad cost.

Does connecting eBay let Brandnata change my listings or prices?

No. Brandnata uses the connection to read orders, returns, listings and payout data, and doesn't change listings, prices, quantities or order status.

Can I see eBay alongside Amazon and my own store?

Yes. eBay sits next to your storefront, Amazon and other marketplaces in one view, so you can compare returns and margin across every channel you sell on.
