Razorpay fees, GST and settlements traced to orders
Brandnata connects to Razorpay through Razorpay's OAuth authorization, where you sign in to your Razorpay account and approve read-only access, in about 5 minutes. The connection is read-only by default, and Razorpay data is reconciled with every other channel you connect in one dashboard.
Brandnata's Razorpay integration reads your payments, refunds, disputes and settlements, along with the fee and GST Razorpay charged on every payment. Those costs are attached to the order they came from, so gateway charges appear in your margin and each settlement can be traced to the payments it paid out.

Everything Razorpay sends into Brandnata
Once connected, payments, refunds and disputes sync throughout the day, and settlements are reconciled as Razorpay credits them to your bank account.
Payments
Captured payments with amount, method (card, UPI, netbanking or wallet), status and the order reference your store sent to Razorpay.
Fees & GST
The fee Razorpay charged on a payment and the GST on that fee, read from the payment record itself.
Refunds & disputes
Full and partial refunds, plus chargebacks with their current status and the amount deducted if a dispute is lost.
Settlements
Settlements to your bank with their UTR numbers and the payments, refunds and adjustments that make it up.
Not just synced, reconciled
Razorpay supplies the payment side of your orders. Gateway fees, GST, refunds and lost disputes are applied to the orders they belong to, so a Shopify or WooCommerce order's margin already includes the cost of being paid, and finance teams can follow any settlement back to its source.

Razorpay data feeds Brandnata's anomaly alerts and AI agent suggestions. The connection itself only reads data and never changes anything in Razorpay.
What this integration unlocks
Specific, Razorpay-native use cases, not a generic list that applies to every connector the same way.
Razorpay's fee and the GST on it are charged to the order they relate to, so product and channel margins reflect what it cost to collect the money.
Payments land in your bank two or more working days after capture, often grouped with refunds from earlier sales. Brandnata breaks settlements down so the credit on your bank statement can be explained.
Compare what card, UPI, netbanking and wallet payments cost you in practice, based on the fees Razorpay recorded instead of its rate card.
See where refunds and disputes cluster by product and channel, including the gateway fee you lose on a refunded order.
Where Brandnata + Razorpay fits
Other ways teams currently piece this data together, and where each one runs out of reach.
| Approach | Coverage | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|
| Brandnata + Razorpay · this page | Fees, GST, refunds and disputes applied per order, with settlements reconciled and payment costs compared across channels | N/A |
| Razorpay Dashboard (native) | Payments, refunds, disputes, settlements and the settlement reconciliation report for your account | A payments-only view, so fees and refunds still have to be tied to orders, products and ad spend somewhere else |
| Store reports (Shopify, WooCommerce) | Orders, gross sales and refunds from your storefront | Razorpay's fee and the GST on it usually don't appear in the store's sales or profit figures |
| Settlement reports in spreadsheets | Razorpay settlement downloads matched to store order exports by payment ID | Done by hand for every settlement period, and refunds netted from later settlements are easy to misplace |

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect Razorpay to Brandnata?
Choose Razorpay in Brandnata and you're taken to Razorpay's authorization page. Sign in, check the read-only access requested and approve it. You don't share API keys with Brandnata, and you can revoke the access from your Razorpay account at any time.
What are Razorpay's payment gateway charges?
On Razorpay's standard plan in India, most domestic payment methods carry a 2% platform fee per successful payment, corporate credit cards 2.15%, and international cards up to 3%. GST at 18% is added to the fee, and there is no setup or annual maintenance charge. Negotiated rates differ, so Brandnata uses the fee and GST recorded on each of your payments.
When does Razorpay settle payments to my bank account?
Domestic payments are settled on a T+2 working day cycle, counted from the day the payment is captured. International payments take T+7 working days. Sundays, the second and fourth Saturdays and bank holidays aren't counted, and Razorpay can set a different cycle depending on your business. Instant Settlements are available for an extra fee.
Why is my Razorpay settlement less than my sales?
Razorpay takes its fee and GST before settling, and refunds and lost disputes are debited from your balance, sometimes in a later settlement than the original sale. A settlement can also include payments captured on different days. Brandnata lists what went into each settlement so the gap can be accounted for.
Does Razorpay return its fee when I refund a payment?
Not for a normal refund. Razorpay keeps the transaction fee and GST charged when the payment was captured. Brandnata charges that cost to the refunded order, so products with high return rates show what they really cost you.
How do I reconcile Razorpay payments with Shopify or WooCommerce orders?
Manually, you would export orders from your store, download Razorpay's settlement reconciliation report and match the two on payment ID. Brandnata does this continuously using the order reference attached to each Razorpay payment, then groups the matched payments by settlement.
Can Brandnata issue refunds or move money in Razorpay?
No. Brandnata only reads payments, refunds, disputes, fees and settlements. It can't capture payments, issue refunds, respond to disputes or change your settlement settings.
