ShipBob fulfillment costs inside your profit per order
Brandnata connects to ShipBob through a ShipBob Personal Access Token that you create under Settings > API > Personal Access Tokens and paste into Brandnata, in about 5 minutes. The connection is read-only by default, and ShipBob data is reconciled with every other channel you connect in one dashboard.
Brandnata's ShipBob integration reads your orders, shipments, invoices and billing transactions. Pick and pack, shipping, storage, receiving and return charges are matched to the orders and products behind them, so your profit per order includes what fulfillment really cost rather than an average entered once in a spreadsheet.

How Brandnata uses ShipBob data
ShipBob supplies the fulfillment cost side of your business. Brandnata places its charges against the orders from Shopify, Amazon or your other channels and the ad spend that drove them, so contribution margin per order, product and channel reflects what was actually invoiced.

ShipBob data feeds Brandnata's anomaly alerts and AI agent suggestions. The connection itself only reads data and never changes anything in ShipBob.
What you can do with ShipBob in Brandnata
Specific, ShipBob-native use cases, not a generic list that applies to every connector the same way.
Shipping and pick fees are charged per shipment. Brandnata attaches them to the order they came from, so a heavy or multi-item order shows its real cost.
Slow sellers that occupy shelves and pallets for months show up with the storage cost they carry, which helps decide what to reorder, discount or retire.
Compare billed charges with the rates you agreed with ShipBob and spot surcharges, dimensional weight adjustments or extra receiving time.
See whether an order that cost $30 in ads can also carry its pick, pack and shipping fees, and which products only work on paper.
Where Brandnata + ShipBob fits
Other ways teams currently piece this data together, and where each one runs out of reach.
| Approach | Coverage | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|
| Brandnata + ShipBob · this page | Invoiced fulfillment, shipping, storage and return charges assigned to orders and SKUs, beside revenue, refunds and ad spend | N/A |
| ShipBob dashboard and billing (native) | Billing overview, billed and unbilled balances, cost by fee category and an average cost per order | No ad spend, product cost or marketplace fees, so it can't show what an order or product earned |
| Profit apps with a flat shipping rule | A fixed or weight-based fulfillment cost applied to each order | Estimates miss storage, receiving, surcharges and the gap between quoted and invoiced rates |
| Invoice exports in spreadsheets | ShipBob invoice and transaction exports matched to order exports by hand | Storage and receiving have no order ID to match on, and the work has to be repeated for every invoice |

ShipBob integration FAQs
How do I connect ShipBob to Brandnata?
In the ShipBob dashboard, go to Settings > API > Personal Access Tokens and create a token for Brandnata, then paste it into the ShipBob connection in Brandnata. Personal Access Tokens don't expire on their own, so revoke the token in ShipBob if you want to end access.
Does ShipBob have an API for invoices and fees?
Yes. ShipBob's Billing API returns invoices, the transactions on each invoice and a list of fee types, and needs the billing read permission. That is how Brandnata reads what you were charged for shipping, fulfillment, storage and other services.
How is ShipBob storage billed?
Storage is charged by the space your inventory occupies, such as bins, shelves and pallets, or by cubic foot on some agreements. ShipBob prices are quoted per merchant, so Brandnata uses the storage charges on your own invoices and spreads them across the products stored.
What does ShipBob cost per order?
It depends on your agreement, the number of items picked, packaging and the shipping service used. ShipBob's dashboard shows an average all-in cost per order. Brandnata shows the cost of each individual order, which reveals the products and destinations that cost far more than the average.
Why is my ShipBob invoice higher than my quote?
Common reasons are dimensional weight on bulky parcels, carrier surcharges, receiving that took longer than expected, extra picks, storage for slow-moving stock and card processing fees. Brandnata lists invoiced charges by fee type so you can see which one moved.
Can I see ShipBob fees next to ad spend?
Not inside ShipBob, which only has fulfillment data. With ShipBob, your store and your ad accounts connected, Brandnata shows each order's revenue, refunds, ad cost and fulfillment cost together, and rolls them up by product and channel.
Can Brandnata create or change orders in ShipBob?
No. Brandnata reads orders, shipments, invoices and billing transactions. It doesn't create, edit or cancel orders, change inventory or book returns in ShipBob.
