Attentive SMS and email revenue, checked against real orders
Brandnata connects to Attentive through an API key from a private app you create in Attentive, together with Attentive's daily conversion data feed, which your Attentive account team turns on, in about 5 minutes. The connection is read-only by default, and Attentive data is reconciled with every other channel you connect in one dashboard.
Brandnata's Attentive integration reads your campaigns, journeys, message activity and the conversions Attentive attributes to them. Each credited order is checked against your store, so refunds, discounts and product costs are reflected, and orders also claimed by your ad platforms are shown, giving a realistic view of what SMS and email add to profit.

How Brandnata uses Attentive data
Attentive supplies the owned-channel side of your marketing. Its attributed conversions are checked against the orders, refunds and costs from your Shopify or other store and set beside paid channels such as Meta Ads and Google Ads, which shows what SMS and email add to profit and where an order has been credited twice.

Attentive data feeds Brandnata's anomaly alerts and AI agent suggestions. The connection itself only reads data and never changes anything in Attentive.
What you can do with Attentive in Brandnata
Specific, Attentive-native use cases, not a generic list that applies to every connector the same way.
Attentive can credit an order to an SMS that was delivered but never clicked. Brandnata shows how much revenue rests on clicks and how much on delivery alone.
Credited orders are checked against your store, and refunded or cancelled orders are removed before any return is calculated.
An order can be claimed by Attentive and by Meta Ads or Google Ads at the same time. Brandnata shows where credits overlap so channel totals add up to real sales.
Apply product costs and discounts to the orders a campaign drove, and see which sends made money and which only discounted orders that would have happened anyway.
Where Brandnata + Attentive fits
Other ways teams currently piece this data together, and where each one runs out of reach.
| Approach | Coverage | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|
| Brandnata + Attentive · this page | Attributed conversions checked against store orders, refunds and costs, with click and view-through credit and paid-channel overlaps shown | N/A |
| Attentive reports (native) | Campaign and journey reports with sends, clicks, conversions and attributed revenue | View-through credit is included by default, and refunds, product costs and other channels' claims aren't considered |
| Store reports (Shopify) | Orders, net sales and refunds, sometimes split by UTM source | SMS sales show up only where UTM tags survived the click, and delivery-based credit never appears |
| Exports in spreadsheets | Attentive report exports compared with store order exports | Slow to repeat, and difficult to keep consistent when attribution settings change |

Attentive integration FAQs
How do I connect Attentive to Brandnata?
Create a private app in Attentive for Brandnata and copy its API key into Brandnata. Attentive provides attributed conversion data through a daily data feed, so ask your Attentive account team to enable the conversions and events feeds for Brandnata as well.
What is Attentive's attribution window?
For new accounts, Attentive credits an order to an SMS within 24 hours of delivery or 5 days of a click, and to an email within 5 days of an open or a click. Since July 2025 these are rolling windows rather than calendar days. Older accounts may use other settings, and each window can be changed or switched off.
Why is Attentive revenue higher than my Shopify sales from SMS?
Attentive counts orders placed within its windows after a message was delivered or opened, even without a click, and it can match customers across devices. Shopify only credits SMS when a tagged link was clicked. Ad platforms may claim the same orders too. Brandnata shows each of these effects separately.
Does Attentive count Apple Mail Privacy Protection opens?
Apple Mail Privacy Protection loads emails automatically, which can register an open nobody made. Attentive has a setting to exclude these opens from email attribution, which makes email revenue more conservative.
Can I see Attentive revenue without view-through credit?
Yes. Brandnata labels each Attentive conversion as click-based or view-based, so you can report SMS and email revenue on clicks only, or compare both views side by side.
How does Attentive compare with Klaviyo for SMS reporting?
Both use last-touch attribution, but their default windows differ, so the same order can be credited differently. Brandnata connects to Attentive, Klaviyo and Omnisend and checks each against the same store orders, which keeps comparisons fair.
Can Brandnata send messages or edit subscribers in Attentive?
No. Brandnata reads campaigns, journeys, message activity and conversions. It doesn't send messages, change journeys or edit or remove subscribers, even where an Attentive permission would allow writing.
