Criteo ROAS and profit, checked against real orders

Brandnata connects to Criteo through the Criteo consent screen, where an admin on your Criteo account approves read access to analytics for the portfolios you choose, in about 5 minutes. The connection is read-only by default, and Criteo data is reconciled with every other channel you connect in one dashboard.

Brandnata's Criteo integration reads campaign spend, impressions, clicks and the sales Criteo attributes to them. Credited sales are compared with the orders in your store, refunds and product costs are applied, and overlaps with Meta Ads and Google Ads are shown, so retargeting is judged on profit rather than on Criteo-reported ROAS.

How Brandnata uses it

How Brandnata uses Criteo data

Criteo supplies retargeting and display spend. Brandnata sets it beside spend from Meta Ads, Google Ads and other platforms, checks credited sales against orders from your Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud or other store, and shows profit by campaign after refunds and product costs.

A team reviewing reconciled sales and performance data together

Criteo data feeds Brandnata's anomaly alerts and AI agent suggestions. The connection itself only reads data and never changes anything in Criteo.

Key capabilities

What you can do with Criteo in Brandnata

Specific, Criteo-native use cases, not a generic list that applies to every connector the same way.

Retargeting credit tested

Retargeting reaches people already likely to buy. Brandnata compares Criteo's credited sales with your store orders and other channels to show what it adds.

Profit per campaign

Apply product costs, discounts and refunds to the orders Criteo drove and see which campaigns make money.

No double counting

An order can be claimed by Criteo, Meta Ads and Google Ads at once. Brandnata shows overlaps so channel totals match real sales.

Spend next to every channel

Criteo spend appears with the rest of your ad budget, on the same profit definitions.

FAQ

Criteo integration FAQs

How do I connect Criteo to Brandnata?

Choose Criteo in Brandnata to open Criteo's consent screen. A user with admin or manager rights on your Criteo account approves read access to analytics and picks the portfolios to share. You can revoke access from Criteo at any time.

What is Criteo's default attribution window?

Criteo's default reporting model is 30 days post-click. View-through credit and other windows depend on the campaign type and your account settings, so check them in Criteo before comparing figures with other platforms.

Why does Criteo ROAS look higher than in Shopify or GA4?

Criteo credits sales within its own windows, which can include view-through credit, and other channels may claim the same orders. Shopify and Google Analytics 4 use their own rules. Brandnata compares Criteo's credits with your actual orders and shows the overlaps.

Why do recent Criteo figures change?

Conversions keep arriving while the attribution window is open, so Criteo updates recent days after the fact. Brandnata refreshes recent data on each sync to stay aligned.

Does Criteo charge per click or per impression?

It depends on the campaign type and country. Brandnata uses the spend reported for your account, including fees, whichever billing model applies.

Is Criteo Retail Media part of this integration?

This integration covers Criteo's advertiser campaigns for your own site. Criteo Retail Media runs through a separate platform and API for ads on retailer sites.

Can Brandnata change my Criteo campaigns?

No. Brandnata requests read access to analytics only. It can't change budgets, bids, audiences or creatives.
